What you provide
To run a useful check, CV Optimiser needs your CV content and the job description you want to apply for.
- You can paste CV text or upload a CV where upload is available
- You paste the job description so feedback is specific to that role
- The tool does not need passport details, bank details, national insurance numbers or a full home address
How the content is used
Your CV and job description are used to generate your role-fit score, missing keyword guidance, recruiter-style verdict and improvement suggestions.
- The check compares your CV with the exact role
- The report highlights gaps, weak evidence and wording opportunities
- Suggestions are guidance only and should be reviewed before you apply
AI processing
CV Optimiser uses AI-assisted analysis to produce feedback. Do not upload content you are not comfortable having processed for this purpose.
The safest approach is to remove details that are not needed for judging CV quality before running a check.
Accounts, reports and payments
- Signed-in users may have access to saved results or report history where available
- Payments are processed by Stripe
- CV Optimiser does not store full card details
Good CV upload hygiene
Before checking a CV, keep only the details that help assess the application.
- Use email and phone details only if you are comfortable including them
- Remove national insurance numbers, passport numbers and bank details
- Check every suggested rewrite remains truthful before using it
