CV Optimiser provides AI-assisted CV checks and practical suggestions. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, ATS acceptance, or employer responses. Results are guidance only and should be reviewed before you apply.

Information we collect

  • CV text or uploaded CV content provided by the user
  • Job description text provided by the user
  • Account information if the user signs in
  • Payment status information from Stripe, but not full card details
  • Basic analytics and technical data such as pages visited, browser/device information, and approximate location where analytics tools provide this

How we use this information

  • To provide CV checks and reports
  • To compare CV content with job descriptions
  • To manage accounts, free usage, and paid access
  • To improve the website and understand usage
  • To prevent abuse, errors, and misuse

CV uploads and sensitive information

CVs can contain personal information. Please avoid uploading information that is not needed for a CV check, such as national insurance numbers, full home addresses, passport details, bank details, or other highly sensitive information.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. CV Optimiser does not store full card details.

AI processing

CV checks may be processed using AI services to generate suggestions. Do not upload content you are not comfortable having processed for this purpose.

Data retention

We only keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, manage accounts, maintain records, improve reliability, and meet legal or security obligations. If the service stores report history for signed-in users, that history may remain available in the user account unless deleted or removed as part of normal account management.

User rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information.
