The four readiness labels
- 0-44: Not ready to send. The CV needs clearer role alignment before applying.
- 45-64: Needs targeted edits. Useful evidence exists, but the CV needs focused improvements.
- 65-79: Nearly ready. The CV is close, but priority gaps should be fixed and checked again.
- 80-100: Strong match. The CV looks competitive, but every claim still needs human review.
The five score signals
- Role alignment: how clearly the CV maps to the responsibilities and seniority of the advert
- Keyword coverage: whether important job-description terms appear naturally
- Evidence strength: whether claims are backed by examples, scope or outcomes
- First-page clarity: whether the top of the CV earns a closer read
- ATS readability: whether the CV is likely to be easy to scan and parse
How to use the score
Treat the score as a prioritisation tool. Start with the recruiter verdict and first-page issues, then fix missing keywords only where your experience genuinely supports them.
What the score cannot do
The score cannot guarantee interviews, ATS acceptance, employer responses or job offers. It reflects likely CV clarity and role fit based on the information supplied.
